KFC Honors Women By Changing Its Logo To ‘Claudia Sanders’, Wife Of ‘Colonel’

In celebration of International Women’s Day, KFC Malaysia has decided to temporarily change its ‘Colonel Sanders’ logo to that of the character’s wife, ‘Claudia Sanders’, across the company’s platforms for one day.

On its website, the company states that ‘Claudia’ is “the 12th ingredient to the Colonel’s 11 secret herbs and spices.” She contributed to KFC’s success by working hard to ship the chicken’s spices to all the outlets across the country.

The company also highlighted three of its female staff members who overcame obstacles in the name of success, and encouraged other Malaysians to share their stories via the hashtag ‘#KFCIWD’.

Chief executive officer Merrill Pereyra thanked female employees for their hard work, which he recognized as having helped bring the community to where it is today.

The campaign was made in partnership with IPG Mediabrands Malaysia’s agencies Society and Universal McCann (UM).
